On my walk to catch the bus home, there frequently is the same homeless man asking for money. On occasion I will give him loose change. Today, when he asked, I gave him the orange I planned on having for the ride home. Nice gesture? His response, " I can't have this its going to get all over my hands. If it were a tangerine.. "I immediately snatched it right back and replied, your not hungry enough!"
Unbelievable, not in America at the heart of New York City. We very privileged citizens have a lot to understand most about appreciation and humbleness.
Action is Eloquence
These are random feeling I have to get into words for my own sanity. Writing is therapeutic and soothing to my soul. Sick with reflection of how scattered this noggin's broaden view can whisper hope bleeding hearts to smile.

Eroded Landscape, Madagascar
Photograph by Pascal Maitre, National Geographic
Pockets of eroded earth create leaf shapes in the landscape in Madagascar. Erosion is one of the long-term consequences of forests plundered for the illicit rosewood trade.
(It looks like a cancer, Nature has a significant job to keep up with human greed. My hope is that people teach our young to appreciate the importance of preserving our resources!)
